LeBron won four NBA titles defeating the OKC Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs, the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat. 

  • In 2012, LeBron James and his Miami Heat defeated The Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder featured Kevin Durant in his 4th NBA season, Russell Westbrook in his 3rd season and James Harden in his 2nd year in the league. 
  • In 2013, LeBron, D-Wade and the Boshasaurus made it back-to-back with a win over the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs featured an aging Tim Duncan, in his only NBA Finals loss, but also a prime Tony Parker and a young Kawhi Leonard. 
  • In 2016, LeBron won his third title over the Golden State Warriors. That Warriors team featured Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. It was the year before KD joined them to form a mega-team. 
  • In 2020, LeBron and his Los Angeles Lakers won the Bubble NBA Finals defeating a very different Miami Heat team from the one LeBron played on.  This Heat team was balanced offensively but featured Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

LeBron James lost the NBA Finals six times in total. He lost three times to the Golden State Warriors, twice to the San Antonio Spurs and once to the Dallas Mavericks. 

  • In 2007, LeBron and the Cavs lost to a San Antonio Spurs team featuring Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker all in their primes. 
  • In 2011 the Heat SuperTeam lost their initial bid for a title to the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs were led by Dirk Nowitizki in his only title season.
  • In 2014 the Heat lost the NBA Finals in LeBron’s last season in Miami to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs featured a 37-year-old Tim Duncan and a 21-year-old Kawhi Leonard. 
  • In 2015 LeBron lost the Finals to the Golden State Warriors in the first season of his second stint with the Cavs. The Warriors featured Steph Curry along with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
  • In 2017 LeBron and the Cavs lost the first of back-to-back NBA Finals defeats at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors had added Kevin Durant to their trio of Curry, Thompson and Green.
  • In 2018 LeBron and the Cavs lost again to the mega-team Warriors featuring KD, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

  • In 2012, LeBron won the Finals MVP while leading the Miami Heat to a victory over the OKC Thunder. LeBron averaged 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists per game. 
  • In 2013 LeBron won his 2nd Finals MVP in the Heat’s victory over the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists per game in the series. 
  • In 2016 LeBron won his 3rd NBA Finals MVP in the Cavs defeat of the Golden State Warriors. James averaged 30 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists per game.
